Les Andrews Guest Speaker

Les Andrews has been a member pf MAFCA for 50 years and MARC member for 54 years.  He has written over 40 articles for The Restorer.  He authored the Model A Ford Mechanics Handbook series )three books), served on the MAFCA Board of Directors for 8 years, and is a MAFCA Past President.  He and his wife, Bobbi, are members of the Auburn A’s in Auburn, California, and the Capitol A’s in Sacremento.  He has a Model A Repair Shop, and at 81 years old still works about five hours a day keeping Model A’s running and repaired.  His joy is driving their 1931 Slant Window Town Sedan.

Randy Harper Guest Speaker

Randy Harper is a long time member of the Santa Anita A’s in the Los Angeles area and only recently retired from the construction and engineering sector. He has become an expert on rebuilding Zenith carburetors over the last ten years, having rebuilt many carburetors for his fellow chapter members. He has built himself a flow test device and has gleaned knowledge from his fellow chapter members.

Randy currently serves as Membership Chairman of his chapter.

Patti Jones MAFCA Fashion Committee

I have been a MAFCA member for over 50 years and been involved with every MAFCA era fashion guidelines published since the 1970’s. Throughout the years, I given numerous fashion seminars as a Master Judge.

I served on the MAFCA Board for 6 years, and as a senior car judge, I also served on the judging standards committee. I helped write and edit the Modified Class for car judging.

I own 3 Model A’s; ’31 Slant Window sedan, ’31 coupe, and a 1929 speedster.

Ron Mosher Guest Speaker

I’ve been involved in the Model A hobby over 50 years. I have entered and won awards at MAFCA Nationals in Restored, Touring and Modified classes. I ran the MAFCA Judging Standard Committee for 6 years. Master Judge. Numerous tours with our 29 Woody – US, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Nova Scotia, Canada, etc. I belong to many Model A related clubs. Manager F.A.S.T. and Antique Nationals. I have given numerous Seminars at Club and National level. I have been working on other people’s Model A’s for the last 30 years +. I have owned over 150 Model A’s/projects.

Wilbert Smith Guest Speaker

Wilbert Smith Ph.D. is an author and award winning filmmaker who strives to capture the essence and power of the human spirit. An outgoing and articulate personality, Wilbert holds a Master of Arts Degree in Special Education, an MBA, a Ph.D. in Business Management, and a Ph.D. in Theology.

“I have had an opportunity to do a number of wonderful things in my life. If I had to pick those that meant the most, they would be the activities that allowed the greatest impact on the lives of young people—the election to my local school board, and my appointment as Director of Child Development Programs by the governor of California.”

Wilbert also served as a prestigious member of California’s Community Colleges Board of Governors, contributing to the establishment of policy and procedure for the state’s more than one hundred community colleges. He has also taught in the School of Business at Community Colleges.

When not writing, filmmaking or adding guidance to the lives of others, Wilbert owns and operates an insurance agency in Altadena, Ca. where he specializes in all lines of insurance.
